A 20% deposit will be required to secure your booking, with the balance due 21 days prior to the event. Before paying the deposit, the client is advised to read these terms & conditions carefully. If there is anything you do not understand please contact us for clarification. Please sign & return the terms & conditions along with your deposit.
Final numbers are required 21 days prior to the event (this will be the minimum number charged).
Minimum numbers must not be less than 85% of the original number at the time of booking, a surcharge will be made for numbers lower than 85%.
It is the client’s responsibility to provide adequate insurance cover for the marquee and hire equipment.
Taste accepts no responsibility for any injuries caused by non-disclosure of allergies or special dietary needs.
Due to hygiene policy and public insurance liability restrictions we are unable to leave food items following an event or to serve any food items not prepared or supplied by ourselves, excluding wedding cakes, however we do reserve the right not to serve any such cakes which we feel would be a risk to health.
If a booking is cancelled by you, the client, we reserve the right to charge in full for the cancelled event, as we will suffer cancellation and other penalty charges from our suppliers. As all deposits paid are non-refundable, we recommend cancellation insurance. All cancellations should be made in writing and sent via registered post.
Taste reserves the right to cancel any booking, without any liability on its part in the event of damage or destruction to our premises by fire or any other causes, any shortages of labour or food supplies, strikes, walkouts or industrial unrest or any other causes beyond our control, which shall prevent us from performing its obligation in connection with any booking. In these circumstances every effort will be made to accommodate the booking with another outside catering company of similar standard.
The client must provide a service area & sufficient tabling, lighting etc for our use; the size of the area will be dependant on the number of people attending, equipment required, cuisine & style of service. Clients are also to arrange for disposal of all refuse and to provide an area where cardboard boxes, empty glass bottles & black sacks etc may be placed to await removal. This MUST be within easy reach of the catering area.
In accordance with the food safty guidelines all food should only be left out of a temperature controlled condition for a maximum of 4 hours after which we can hold no responsibility.
Damage to linen such as cigarette burns & candle wax will result in the full replacement costs at the current rate.
